What areas do you serve?+
For replacements and new installs: the GTA and surrounding areas. For custom homes: the Golden Horseshoe (Toronto, Hamilton, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Niagara, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph) and cottage country (Muskoka, Haliburton, the Kawarthas). Not sure if you're in range? Ask. We'll give you a straight answer.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. Fully licensed, fully insured, with TSSA-certified technicians on every job.
How much experience does AlignCan have?+
Our team brings 25+ years of hands-on HVAC experience across custom homes, replacements, and new installs. That experience shows up in the details: sizing, placement, airflow, and installs that hold up.
What makes AlignCan different?+
We start with the home, not the sale. The right solution wins. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. The one that's aligned to the space, the budget, and the long term.
What do you install?+
Furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and water heaters. Replaced, upgraded, or installed new.
Should I repair or replace?+
It depends on age, repair cost, and efficiency. A rough rule: if the repair costs more than half the value of a new unit and the system is past the 10 to 12 year mark, replacement usually wins. We'll assess yours honestly and show you the math either way.
Do you charge for quotes?+
No. Assessments and quotes are free.
Is a heat pump right for my home?+
Sometimes. Heat pumps are efficient and handle both heating and cooling, but the right answer depends on your home's insulation, ductwork, electrical capacity, and how you use the space. We size to your home first, then recommend. If a furnace is the better fit, we'll tell you.
Are there rebates available?+
Rebate programs change often. We'll walk you through what's currently available for your equipment and help with the paperwork.
How long does an installation take?+
Most replacements are done in a day. New installs or combined systems can take longer. We'll give you a clear timeline before work starts, and we stick to it.
What brands do you carry?+
We install equipment matched to your home, not to a sales quota.
What warranty do you provide?+
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty. Our workmanship is covered. If something we installed isn't right, we make it right.
Do you service what you install?+
Yes. We stand behind our installs and we're the ones who show up if anything needs attention.
Will you try to upsell me?+
No. We start with your home, not your pockets. You'll get options, straight pricing, and our honest recommendation. The decision is yours.
When should you get involved in a build?+
Early. Ideally at the design stage, before framing. Early involvement means proper load calculations, duct runs that fit the architecture, and no compromises forced by finished walls. We can join later, but earlier is always better for the build.
Do you do the design work?+
Yes. Load calculations, system selection, duct design, and equipment placement, all engineered to the specific build. Designed to the space, not copied from the last job.
Can you handle cottage country builds?+
Yes. Muskoka, Haliburton, and the Kawarthas are core territory for us. We plan around access, scheduling, and the realities of remote sites.
How do you coordinate with other trades?+
We work to your schedule and communicate directly with your site super. Rough-in when you need it, finals when you're ready, no chasing. Your timeline is the timeline.
What happens if there's a callback?+
There shouldn't be. That's the point of doing it right the first time. But if your client ever has an issue with our work, we handle it directly and fast, so it never lands on your desk.
What systems do you work with?+
Forced air, heat pumps, ventilation (HRV/ERV), hot water, in-floor heating, and driveway heating (snow melt). If the build calls for it, we design it in.
How do I get a quote for a build?+
Send the drawings. We'll review the plans, run the numbers, and come back with a scoped proposal. Contact us through the site.
